About Me

"Zahrah"

- means golden, flower, blossom, or beauty in Arabic. My teacher, Jodette Johnson of Jordan, gave me that name over my years of working with her and her studio. I've been dancing for Jodette's Belly Dancing Academy in Sacramento for over three years. I was in Jodette's Jewels of the Nile and performed at many festivals. Most of my experience includes: traditional Egyptian Cabaret, Drum solo, Turkish, Taqsim, Baladi, Melaya Leff, and Bollywood. I use props such as Sword, Finger Cymbals, Veil, Candelabra (real fire or electric), Isis Wings, and Cane. Most of my experience is at weddings, other private parties, hookah lounges, stage performance and restaurants. I am very professional, respectful, and love to have fun with my craft!
